Solstice Experiences is a newly launched private dining concept in Joo Chiat, transforming a stylish loft apartment into an intimate multi-sensory dinner setting inspired by the changing moods of the seasons. Opened by couple Darren and Patricia — who also co-run boutique hotel Tika in Lombok — the space feels less like a formal restaurant and more like an effortlessly elegant dinner party hosted at a beautifully curated home. From the music and candlelight to the tablescape and menu, every detail is thoughtfully designed to shift with each seasonal theme.
The dining experience centres around contemporary dishes that blend Asian flavours with Western influences, drawing inspiration from both modern North American cooking and familiar regional comfort food. Guests can expect a menu that evolves regularly, featuring creations such as seafood carpaccio tarts with homemade shiso oil, freshly baked bread paired with roasted seaweed butter, and barramundi finished with laksa leaf oil and beurre blanc. The experience concludes with Darren’s signature tiramisu, served tableside in a warm, personal finale that reflects the intimate spirit of the concept.
Beyond dinner service, Solstice Experiences is also gradually expanding into a broader lifestyle and community space. The team collaborates with local artisans and bartenders for seasonal cocktail pairings, while future plans include coffee tasting sessions, workshops, and other creative gatherings.
