Rainforest Wild Adventure enters its next chapter with the opening of a major new expansion on 20 May 2026, transforming the park into a sprawling 20-hectare rainforest playground inspired by the landscapes of Asia and Africa. Previously introduced as Rainforest Wild Asia, the destination now expands into a larger two-zone experience, blending immersive wildlife habitats with adrenaline-driven outdoor attractions.
The newly unveiled Rainforest Wild Adventure East introduces a more African-inspired environment, alongside a slate of high-element activities woven through forest canopies and rugged terrain. Visitors can expect zip lines, suspended treetop crossings, elevated climbs, and panoramic lookout points designed to place them directly within the landscape rather than simply observing it from afar. Together with the existing West zone’s cave expeditions, rock climbing, and canopy jumps, the park positions itself as one of Singapore’s most ambitious nature-adventure destinations to date.
Beyond the thrill factor, the expansion also marks the Southeast Asian debut of the elusive okapi, alongside other species including pygmy hippos, eastern bongos, lemurs, and red river hogs housed within large naturalistic habitats. Adding another layer to the experience, the park also introduces Singapore’s first National Geographic-themed retail pop-ups, featuring apparel and lifestyle merchandise inspired by the iconic publication. With accessible forest trails, wildlife encounters, and immersive attractions all housed within a single destination, Rainforest Wild Adventure pushes Mandai’s evolution beyond the traditional zoo experience into something far more experiential and exploratory.
