Set within the Telok Ayer dining stretch, Yanhuo Restaurant is a new modern-Chinese concept bringing vintage glamour and bold regional flavours to the CBD. Located within walking distance of Telok Ayer MRT Station and Maxwell MRT Station, the restaurant makes an easy choice for after-work dinners, though the moody evening atmosphere is where the space truly comes alive.

The interior leans heavily into retro Chinese aesthetics, with wooden textures, brick walls, vintage posters and soft lighting that give the room the feel of an old film set. Screens, lattice details and layered textiles inspired by traditional craftsmanship add depth without making the space feel heavy, creating a setting that balances nostalgia with a contemporary dining mood. Whether seated at the main tables or at the bar, the design encourages guests to slow down and linger.
On the menu, Yanhuo blends flavours from different regions of China with modern touches. Standout dishes include the signature truffle claypot rice, fragrant and crisp at the edges, alongside comforting plates like double-boiled grouper pot and silky steamed egg with white truffle and snow crab. The drinks list follows the same idea, with Chinese-inspired cocktails and wines designed to pair with the rich flavours. With its distinctive look and flavour-forward menu, Yanhuo adds another stylish dinner spot to the CBD’s growing list of new openings.
