Café Leitz makes a quiet yet confident return to Singapore as Southeast Asia’s only Leica café, tucked within the brand’s new flagship store at South Beach Quarter. Following the closure of its previous outpost at Raffles Hotel, the luxury camera house reintroduces its café concept in late 2025—this time as an intimate hideaway amid the city’s business district, blending photography, design, and slow moments over coffee.
Rooted in Leica’s German heritage, Café Leitz serves a concise menu of comforting European flavours. Light savoury sandwiches take centre stage, from smoked pork collar with apple sauerkraut to smoked salmon layered with dill and pickled cucumber, alongside sausage-filled stacks inspired by Berlin street food. These are complemented by well-crafted coffees, iced teas topped with cold foam, and a tempting dessert counter featuring playful treats like Choconana, zesty Lime Solero, and the cheekily named 24 Carrot Gold carrot cake.
The space itself mirrors Leica’s understated elegance, dressed in warm wood tones and relaxed, minimalist styling. Shelves of photography books invite lingering, while the calm, gallery-like atmosphere makes it an easy spot to recharge, browse, and capture a few quietly stylish moments of your own. More than just a café, Café Leitz is an experiential retreat where visual culture and café life intersect seamlessly.
