Heating up Teck Lim Road in Singapore’s Chinatown from early November is the newest kid on the block, STYXX. Brought to you by the founders of Middle Eastern-Balkan gastro-bar Leila, this latest restaurant continues to embody the culinary narrative on Middle Eastern cuisine, while offering a bold, unpolished charm where flavour shines. Behold, a modern playground of fire, bread, and flavour; where skewers are taken to the next level; a space that feels at once global, inclusive, and unmistakably Singaporean.
Guests can start with complimentary housemade fresh saluf, a rustic flatbread served with a medley of three vibrant mezze dips. From there, dive into skewers and small plates starting from $8, each kissed by the open flame to achieve smoky perfection. For heartier appetites, the grill pulls out all the stops with bold mains of lamb, chicken, and king crab leg – for primal satisfaction that only meat and fire can provide.
Grill. Share. Repeat.
Step inside STYXX and immediately be greeted by the raw, primal energy that’s driven by its roaring kitchen, the beating heart of the brand. This is where fire, bread, and flavour converge to create a modern dining ritual. From skewers to saluf flatbread and vibrant spreads, every dish is designed for sharing, each table a communal experience where conversations flow freely.
While the food draws inspiration from Middle Eastern roots, they are cleverly reimagined through Singapore’s diverse cultural lens for cross-cultural creativity and inclusivity on a plate. Everyone is invited to the party – casual or formal, local or expat, tourist or foodie, young or old.
Even its name, STYXX, is a playful distortion of the word sticks, symbolising skewers – the heart of the concept. The “XX” adds a bold, edgy, urban twist, making the name distinctive, modern, and memorable. You could even say these are little “kisses” – of flame, served with heart and soul; or even the unspoken words that fuel creativity on these prongs of possibilities.

Saluf. Fire. Flavour.
Every meal at STYXX begins with a smile and ends with a memory, where bold flavours and warm Middle Eastern hospitality turn dining into connection.
Begin your meal with complimentary freshly baked Saluf, STYXX’s housemade flatbread made the traditional Middle Eastern way. Each piece is rolled out by hand, laid directly on hot stones, and puffed by fire until it blisters and softens at once. The warm bread is slightly chewy and smoky, inviting your hands to tear, share, and savour it with the three vibrant spreads served alongside: Black Tahini (black sesame and black garlic tahini), Matbuha (spicy tomato relish), and Pickles to refresh your palate between bites.
Next, the stars of the show – the Styxx themselves, a selection of skewers (150g per portion) still sizzling from the grill. Poultry picks include Shishlik ($18) juicy chicken thigh, and the rich and chewy yet still tender Chicken Hearts ($14). Something special is the distinctly Middle Eastern Kebab ($16), ground beef with notes of tomato and onion. For more firepower, try the spicy Merguez Sausage ($16), robust lamb meets cumin and other seasonings.Don’t miss out on the must try Layered Kebab ($16), a skewer of minced beef and lamb fat grilled to juicy perfection and topped with pink tahini made from beetroot, then venture from land to ocean with Fish ($19) and Seafood Mix ($19).Get in your daily serving of greens with the Padron Peppers ($16), lightly blistered and bursting with smoky, peppery flavour, or go for the earthy King Oyster Mushrooms ($18), charred till golden and meaty in bite. And for something indulgent, there’s the premium Wagyu ($29 for 100g), a tender, unctuous delight seared to perfection.
Not forgetting the perfect companions to your Styxx — small plates made for sharing and snacking. Tuck into Hummus Baladi & Falafel ($18), Freekeh Salad ($17) with toasted green wheat and smoked labneh cheese, or a refreshing Arabic Salad ($15) of cucumber, tomato, red pepper and parsley dressed in labaneh lemon and olive oil. The Dolma($17), stuffed onion with spiced beef and rice cooked in demi-glace, is a must-try.
For something heartier, go Beyond the Styxx with sharing platters made for three to four. The Taboon Lahme ($34) features slow cooked lamb stew with vegetables, wrapped in traditional bread dough and baked in the taboon. The Half Chicken ($26) or Whole Chicken ($43) is brined for 24 hours, marinated in harissa, and smoked in applewood for rich, deep flavour. And for the ultimate indulgence, the Alaskan King Crab Leg ($69) poached in smoked garlic butter is an absolute showstopper.
Everything must come to an end, but at STYXX, this is just the happy beginning of dessert. End your meal on a sweet note with Baklava & Kadaif ($15), delicate layers of pastry with nuts and syrup. For something smooth and decadent, the Chocolate Mousse ($15) delivers rich, velvety indulgence in every spoonful. And for sharing, the Basbousa Cake ($23 for 2 to 3 pax), a semolina cake on rosewater pudding, is a fragrant and comforting finale.
