Following its successful debut at Raffles Place in July, the cult fast-casual ramen concept MENSHO X will officially launch its second Singapore outpost at WEAVE Mall (#02-206), Resorts World Sentosa, on 1 November. The launch comes with an exciting new menu headlined by Chef Tomoharu Shono’s latest creation, tantan mochimen, which is a refreshing take on his signature chewy noodles.
The expansion marks a new, pivotal chapter for the MENSHO X brand, one that continues to push the boundaries of ramen with artistry and innovation. “At MENSHO X Resorts World Sentosa, I wanted to create more than just ramen,” remarks Chef Shono. “I wanted to elevate comfort food into a luxurious dining moment that feels both dynamic and memorable.”
MENSHO X at Resorts World Sentosa
In contrast to its original outlet at Raffles Place, MENSHO X at Resorts World Sentosa occupies an expansive 1034 square feet space, with indoor seating for 36 and an al-fresco area that accommodates 12. Nestled in the heart of Singapore’s iconic tourist destination, this outpost introduces Chef Shono’s ramen to a wider, global audience.
The interior exudes cosiness and comfort, with warm-hued tones, rich wooden fixtures, and soft white lighting that casts a welcoming glow across the place. Every detail is designed to create a refined, yet inviting, atmosphere, making it the perfect dining venue for tourists and families.
The menu mirrors this attention to detail, offering a curated lineup of timeless ramen favourites and all-new creations, crafted to satisfy both discerning palates and first-time diners.

Exclusive New Creations
The menu at Resorts World Sentosa distinguishes itself from its sister outlet at Raffles Place, offering new ramen creations and side dishes exclusive to its location. With every bowl, Chef Shono also spruces it with different premium cuts of meat, varying noodle weights, and mouthwatering garnishes.
A brand-new creation by Chef Shono, and exclusively available at MENSHO X Resorts World Sentosa, is the Wagyu Tantan Mochimen (served without soup, $26), which features thick and chewy mochimen that is simmered in an ice bath for added bounce and bite before being steeped in a vegan peanut and sesame base. Topped with premium Japanese wagyu chashu, bok choy, a semi-dried tomato, smoked nuts, red onions, and a hint of Sichuan pepper, the Wagyu Tantanmen delivers a rich, layered flavour profile that is both indulgent and refreshing, a modern twist on the classic Japanese ramen experience.
For plant-based diners, the Vegan Tantan Mochimen (served without soup, $20) pairs the same chewy mochimen with charred cauliflower, bok choy, a semi-dried tomato, smoked nuts, and red onions, before finishing it with chilli oil, black sesame powder, peanut and black sesame paste, and a touch of Sichuan pepper to deliver a bold, satisfying, and aromatic noodle dish.
The mochimen in these exclusive creations is made from a bespoke flour blend of mochi wheat, an ingredient Chef Shono specially imports from local farms in Iwate and Hokkaido, Japan. It took Chef Shono multiple rounds of R&D before he perfected the blend to give the noodles its tender, mochi-like chewiness.
“Noodles made from mochi flour carry a subtle sweetness and a tender, chewy texture,” Chef Shono explains. “It shines best in thicker noodles, which is how I got the inspiration to create the tantanmen. Bouncy and light on the palate, they are dishes both the young and old can enjoy.”
Every order of tantanmen comes with a complimentary serving of fluffy Hokkaido Nanatsuboshi rice, meant to be enjoyed after diners have finished the noodles — it pairs perfectly with the rich sesame sauce.
Besides the new tantan mochimen creations, diners can also look forward to other highlights such as:
Yuzu Shio Ramen, $23 — This ramen features a double soup built from bonito, clam, and pork, layered with a delicate chicken broth to create a nuanced umami base. Housemade thin noodles are topped with sake kasu-marinated braised pork ribeye chashu, yuzu chicken chashu, and bright accents of yuzu, semi-dried tomato, spinach, king oyster mushroom menma, shiso cress, and red onion.
Organic Shoyu Ramen, $20 — Crafted around a layered double soup of bonito, clam, and pork enriched with delicate chicken broth, this bowl captures the essence of refined umami. It features sake kasu-marinated braised pork ribeye chashu, yuzu chicken chashu, and barrel-aged organic shoyu, complemented by spinach, king oyster mushroom menma, nasturtium, and red onion atop house-made thin noodles.
Signature Toripaitan, $27 — Wavy whole-wheat noodles complemented by a light, creamy toripaitan broth. Spruced with a trio of meats: sake kasu-marinated braised pork ribeye chashu, premium Japanese wagyu chashu, and yuzu chicken chashu. Topped with an ajitama egg and accented with onions and duo peppers.
MENSHO TOKYO and MENSHO X share the same toripaitan (chicken-based) broth as the foundation. However, the former boasts a creamier, thicker base that is made with a higher concentration of toripaitan. The latter, in contrast, touts a lighter, more delicate interpretation infused with shiitake mushrooms, porcini mushrooms, and kelp.
Sides to Savour
Besides the delicious ramen and mochimen mains, diners can also look forward to an eyewatering lineup of side dishes on the Resorts World Sentosa menu. Hearty, flavourful, and sumptuous, they work as the perfect accompaniments to the ramen.
