After six years of construction, the Punggol Coast MRT station is now open as the 17th stop on the North East Line, extending to Harbourfront. While the station became operational on December 10, its accompanying shopping complex, Punggol Coast Mall, is still under development. Scheduled for a grand opening in March 2025, the mall will gradually unveil its offerings in the months ahead. Positioned as an anchor for the Punggol Digital District, the station and mall promise to bring new conveniences to the community.
Punggol Coast Mall will feature an open-air plaza directly linked to the MRT station, designed to host community events such as performances and pop-up bazaars. Although the plaza lacks air-conditioning as part of an energy-efficient initiative to reduce environmental impact, it is designed to remain airy and well-ventilated. Individual stores will have their own cooling systems, ensuring a comfortable experience for visitors regardless of the weather. The plaza exemplifies the district’s commitment to sustainability while serving as a vibrant gathering space for residents.
The mall will boast over 120 establishments, offering a variety of dining, retail, and lifestyle options. Confirmed food outlets include popular names like Din Tai Fung, Jollibee, Sushi Tei, and the new-to-market White Cloud Cafe. Retail highlights include Daiso, Muji, and Harvey Norman, while Amore Fitness caters to fitness enthusiasts. Families will appreciate facilities like Wan To Play Ocean Fantasy and PlayFacto School. Additionally, the nearby Market Village and Punggol Coast Hawker Centre will expand the area’s appeal with waterfront views, greenery, and affordable dining options, creating a comprehensive lifestyle destination for the growing Punggol community.
