Slated for completion by 2027, NS Square is set to become a significant hub for national servicemen and their families. Replacing the temporary Marina Bay floating platform, it will boast a permanent stage deck and grandstand for hosting National Day Parades and various large-scale events.
Highlighting its significance, Minister for Defence Ng Eng Hen emphasized NS Square’s role as a permanent venue for future NDPs and Basic Military Training graduation parades during its ground-breaking ceremony. The site will also feature a national service-themed gallery, showcasing the contributions of servicemen across generations through multimedia platforms and hardware displays.
Designed by Woha Architects, NS Square aims to enhance accessibility and versatility. Its stage deck and grandstand will accommodate approximately 30,000 attendees, offering space for concerts, performances, and sporting activities. Additionally, the site will feature a waterfront promenade, dining options, community spaces, and a water sports centre, providing recreational opportunities for the public year-round.
