Hong Kong’s cult-favourite teppan steak concept Bari Bari has opened its first flagship at Capitol Kempinski, taking the brand beyond its casual beginnings at Tampines 1 with a more premium menu and dining experience. The new Bari Bari Grand focuses on Japanese A4/A5 Miyazaki Wagyu, offering diners a more elevated take on teppan dining while maintaining the brand’s emphasis on approachable pricing. The standout is the A4/A5 Miyazaki Wagyu Teppan, featuring beef from a four-time winner of the Japan National Wagyu Award and seared tableside for added theatre.
The menu expands beyond steak, with indulgent combinations such as Lobster & Wagyu Hamburg, pairing premium lobster with a wagyu beef patty, alongside Salmon Mentaiko for a savoury seafood option. Every teppan dish also comes with access to the complimentary free-flow Gourmet Bar, offering a rotating selection of fresh salads, seasonal appetisers, Japanese-inspired dishes and chef-crafted bites. The format is designed to give diners a more complete meal while adding value to the premium positioning.
With its Capitol Kempinski location, Bari Bari Grand marks a new chapter for the brand, bringing its teppan concept into a more polished setting without moving away from its value-driven approach. The combination of premium Miyazaki Wagyu, tableside cooking and an all-inclusive Gourmet Bar gives the new flagship a distinctly more upscale identity, while the brand continues to position itself around Japanese premium dining at an accessible price.
