Martina’s Kitchen has expanded with a second outlet at Aperia Mall, bringing its modern Peranakan dining concept to Kallang Avenue following the success of its original Seletar Aerospace location. The new 128-seat restaurant is designed as a tribute to Peranakan heritage, blending contemporary dining with cultural storytelling through interiors inspired by Singapore’s past. Highlights include a striking wall of painted windows reminiscent of the former Hill Street Police Station, alongside displays of family heirlooms such as Peranakan porcelain, beaded slippers, hand-drawn batiks and delicate Nyonya watercolours.
Founded on the family recipes of Martina Koh and reinterpreted by founder Eileen Tay-Wong, Martina’s Kitchen celebrates the rich flavours of Peranakan cuisine while adapting them for modern diners. Every dish is prepared without MSG, with signatures including Singapore Satay, Sengkuang Goreng, Sambal Chicken, Steamed Assam Red Snapper and Black Vinegar Pork Trotter. The Lemongrass Chicken is another standout, especially when paired with the restaurant’s refreshing Bird of Paradise mocktail.
More than just a place to dine, Martina’s Kitchen offers an immersive look into Peranakan culture, where every meal is complemented by stories of heritage and tradition. Guests can linger over live pop-jazz performances every Friday and Saturday evening while exploring the restaurant’s thoughtfully curated collection of antiques and artwork, making the new Aperia Mall outlet as much a cultural experience as it is a dining destination.
