Yogurt Planet, a viral Chinese dessert chain, has arrived in Singapore with its unique “stretchy” DIY yoghurt bowls. Located at Millenia Walk, the store is instantly recognisable with its bright green storefront and buzz of curious crowds. The concept has been making waves online, thanks to its gooey, sticky yoghurt made through a 28-hour fermentation process that gives it a texture unlike any other. With five flavours to choose from — Original, Black Five Grains, Emerald, Strawberry, and Sea Coconut — each scoop is light, tangy, and not overly sweet, offering a guilt-free way to indulge.
The Emerald yoghurt, infused with a refreshing green grape flavour, has quickly become a crowd favourite, while the pastel-hued Strawberry and Sea Coconut offer fruity, refreshing alternatives. For something heartier, the Black Five Grains adds a subtle nutty flavour with hints of black sesame. Can’t decide? A sampling station at the entrance lets you try the flavours before committing. Once you’ve made your pick, fill your bowl with yoghurt and then head to the self-serve toppings bar to customise it to your heart’s content.
Here, the fun really begins. With over 15 toppings available — from fresh fruits like dragonfruit, melon, and grapes, to nostalgic haw flakes, granola, taro jelly, and mini cookies — the combinations are endless. Highlights include the chewy barley with its delicate jelly-like coating and the crunchy chocolate chip cookies, both instant hits among regulars. Seating inside is limited, with just seven spots available, but turnover is quick as most people enjoy their bowls and head off. Whether you’re after a refreshing dessert, a playful DIY experience, or the latest food trend to try, Yogurt Planet is well worth the visit.
