West Mall in Bukit Batok is entering a new chapter, with the first phase of its ongoing enhancement works now open to visitors. The mall has unveiled a refreshed façade, a more welcoming “front yard” with direct sheltered access to Bukit Batok MRT, and a brand-new basement wing called EAT@W. Once part of the carpark, this 22,000 sq ft space now houses over 20 new F&B and retail concepts, marking the biggest change to the mall since it opened in 1998.
EAT@W introduces several firsts to the neighbourhood, including single-serve teppanyaki spot Gochiya, the west region’s first outlet of halal-certified Hatsumi Donburi & Soba, and the heartland debut of Jo Ju Bang’s Korean kimbap. The updated front yard has also been designed as an inclusive public space, offering seating, sheltered access and room for community events — a step towards making the mall a livelier hangout rather than just a functional stop for errands.
More upgrades are on the way. A new Kopitiam food court will open on Level 4 by end-2025, with additional lifestyle tenants arriving in 2026. The Bukit Batok Library will also expand across Levels 2 and 3 when it reopens in the first half of 2026. These changes aim to reposition West Mall as a warm, modern hub for the growing neighbourhoods of Bukit Batok, Hillview and Tengah — a place where the community can gather and grow alongside the mall’s evolution.
