The local home goods brand, SOJAO, has earned recognition for its 100% ethically made, certified organic cotton bedding. Its second physical outpost will focus on sustainability and community engagement through collaborations with other brands. The name “SOJAO” means “go to sleep” in Hindi, chosen as a tribute to the Indian cotton farmers behind their best-selling organic bed sheets. Sustainability is at the heart of the brand, which is why they have chosen to be certified by the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS), ensuring their products are made responsibly.
Back in 2018, the founders couldn’t find super soft, great-looking sheets that were ethically made and affordably priced. This led them to create SOJAO from the ground up, with the goal of providing high-quality, ethically produced bedding. The brand’s commitment to fair wages and safe working environments supports their mission to close the global inequality gap through the simple daily ritual of sleep.
SOJAO believes in doing good while filling homes with the best. They advocate that ethically made, organic luxury isn’t just a privilege but a universal necessity, much like sleep itself. The co-founders, Pris & Jan, are dedicated to ensuring that everyone, from their customers to the farmers and workers behind their products, benefits from a good night’s rest.
