The new OMODA-JAECOO showroom has officially opened on Ubi Road. As the first independent OMODA-JAECOO showroom in Southeast Asia, customers will find dedicated areas for both the JAECOO and OMODA brands here. Vertex and Chery also celebrated the launch of Chery’s first new model in Singapore in a decade: the all-electric OMODA E5. This showroom will showcase the OMODA and JAECOO brands, which Chery hopes will strengthen its global presence. Ms. Serena Wong, General Manager of Vertex Automobile Singapore, highlighted that this is the first independent OMODA-JAECOO showroom in Southeast Asia, designed meticulously to reflect the brand’s identity.
The showroom features a futuristic design with digital walls and spacious areas, aimed at appealing to the “young at heart”. Customers can explore the OMODA or JAECOO sections, each with its own lounge and car display areas. Both brands focus on new energy vehicles (NEVs), supporting Singapore’s move towards cleaner energy. The JAECOO brand is expected to offer rugged SUVs, while OMODA targets trendier individuals. The facility includes the ‘O&J Space’, where the two sections converge, symbolizing the brands’ interconnectedness.
Leading Chery’s re-entry into the Singapore market is the OMODA E5, a compact electric crossover with sleek styling based on the ‘Art in Motion’ design philosophy. It features narrow LED daytime running lights, a 24.6-inch curved screen dashboard, eco-leather seats, and an eight-speaker Sony sound system. Powered by a 61kWh battery, the E5 can travel up to 430km on a single charge and supports fast DC charging. The car also includes advanced safety features like Adaptive Cruise Control and Blind-spot Detection. The showroom is now open to the public, with the OMODA E5 available for pre-booking in eight colors, starting at $179,888 (inclusive of COE).
