The idea for Don’t Runaway started brewing in 2023, somewhere between a pastrami in New York and a meatball sub in Chicago. After three months of sandwich-fuelled city-hopping through the US, founder Hoh Loyi of The Platform Collective, came back to Singapore with one loud takeaway: a sandwich isn’t just a sandwich. It’s comfort, chaos, and creativity all smashed into one handheld bite. But nothing here on our sunny island hit quite the same. So she built her own, packed with attitude to boot.
