Popular bubble tea chain Tealive is set to open its first outlet in Singapore this June at Changi Airport’s Terminal 3 Arrival Hall. Known for its distinctive purple storefronts, Tealive currently operates over 800 stores in Malaysia and has a growing presence across 13 countries, including the Philippines, Canada, the United Kingdom, Vietnam, and Australia. Hoarding for the new store has already gone up at a corner unit next to Cheers.
Founded by Bryan Loo in 2017, Tealive emerged after the rebranding of more than 160 Chatime outlets in Malaysia. Since then, the brand has gained a loyal following for its signature drinks, such as the brown sugar pearl milk tea, roasted milk tea with handmade pearls, and the grapefruit chia tea booster. Tealive also champions sustainability with its eco-friendly, strawless cups designed to minimise waste.
The launch of Tealive in Singapore adds to a wave of international food brands entering the market, alongside Tokyo’s Pizza Studio Tamaki and Sides by Sidemen. As Tealive prepares to open its doors, fans who frequent Johor Bahru malls like Paradigm and Midvalley Southkey can soon enjoy their favourite bubble tea closer to home.
