Nintendo fans in Southeast Asia can rejoice as the popular Japanese multinational video game company is set to open its first-ever pop-up store in the region at Jewel, Changi Airport from 17 November 2023 to 1 January 2024.
The Nintendo Pop-Up Store will showcase exclusive official merchandise from the company’s popular intellectual properties (IPs). Fans can expect to find merchandise from beloved games such as Super Mario, Animal Crossing, Splatoon, Pikmin, and The Legend of Zelda, which were previously only available at Nintendo’s stores in Tokyo and Kyoto.
More original merchandise items will be unveiled closer to the store’s opening date, providing fans with even more exciting offerings to choose from. To sweeten the deal, Nintendo is also offering six types of exclusively designed postcards for shoppers who spend SGD80 (approximately RM277) or more in a single purchase.
In addition to the merchandise, attendees who check in to their Nintendo account at the venue will have the opportunity to collect special stickers to commemorate the event.
While the news of Nintendo’s first pop-up store in Southeast Asia is undoubtedly exciting, some Malaysian fans may be disappointed that the store will not be opening in their country. Nevertheless, Nintendo enthusiasts throughout the region can look forward to this unique opportunity to get their hands on exclusive merchandise and enjoy the immersive Nintendo experience.
