From July, collecting new identity cards and passports will be more convenient with automated kiosks at the new Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) services centre in Lavender—no appointment needed. Located at 2 Crawford Street, next to the current ICA building, the new centre will begin operations on April 7 and will be open on weekdays from 8 AM to 4:30 PM. While public parking will only be available in 2027, the centre has a designated drop-off point and is easily accessible by public transport.
The new facility is designed to streamline services, offering a single touchpoint for transactions that currently require visits to different floors in the existing ICA building. Walk-in customers will not be served at the counters between April 1 and April 4 as the authority conducts system tests and final adjustments. Urgent cases—such as passports for immediate travel or immigration formalities expiring during this period—will be considered on a case-by-case basis with supporting documents.
To avoid disruptions, ICA encourages the public to complete their transactions before the transition period. Applications can still be submitted online through ICA’s website or the MyICA mobile app. Further details on the new centre’s services will be announced at a later date.
