Japan’s well-known thrift retailer, 2nd Street, is set to open its first Singapore outlet at 313@somerset in late April. Spanning 6,198 sq ft from units B1-23 to 34, the store will replace clothing retailer Pomelo and operate daily from 11 AM to 10 PM. Shoppers can expect a curated selection of over 22,000 thrifted pieces from Japan, offering a mix of trendy streetwear, vintage apparel, and luxury goods at accessible prices.
With 881 outlets in Japan and nearly 1,000 stores worldwide, including locations in the US, Malaysia, Taiwan, and Thailand, 2nd Street has built a reputation for its extensive range of secondhand clothing, bags, furniture, and household goods. Prices start as low as S$5, with pieces from brands such as Levi’s, New Balance, Nike, and Carhartt. The store also carries exclusive Japanese brands and luxury labels like Louis Vuitton, Comme des Garçons, Hermès, and Chanel at a fraction of their original price.
Beyond shopping, customers can trade in pre-loved items for cash after a price assessment, making 2nd Street a sustainable option for fashion lovers. For more updates on the Singapore launch, shoppers can visit the brand’s website and Instagram page.
