The Perse School (Singapore) has reached an exciting milestone with the official opening of its Senior School, welcoming students in Years 7 to 9. Rooted in the heritage of The Perse School Cambridge and thoughtfully adapted for Singapore’s dynamic learners, the Senior School blends academic rigour, character development, and real-world readiness. Its broad and balanced curriculum builds on the Junior School foundation, with core subjects like English, Maths, and Science complemented by a wider exploration of Humanities and Languages. This approach deepens understanding, encourages diverse perspectives, and lays a strong groundwork for IGCSE and beyond.
Learning at The Perse Senior School is driven by specialist teaching across all subjects — from mathematics and sciences to languages, humanities, and the arts. Each subject is led by passionate educators who bring deep expertise and a love for learning into their classrooms. Through interactive lessons, experiments, and discussions, teachers inspire curiosity and confidence, nurturing both academic excellence and personal growth. Support for English as an Additional Language (EAL) and individual learning needs ensures every student can thrive in a setting that values diversity and inclusion.
The launch of the Senior School was marked by a lively celebration attended by students, families, and distinguished guests, including The Honourable Ms Sim Ann, Senior Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Home Affairs, and His Excellency Mr Nik Mehta, British High Commissioner to Singapore. Together with ambassadors and members of The Perse community, they sealed a time capsule to commemorate the occasion. The day closed with a student-led panel and a silent outdoor movie night — a fitting start to a new chapter for The Perse School (Singapore).
