Design Orchard Retail Showcase has unveiled a reimagined concept space, that aims to elevate the in-store experience for both customers and brands at a time when consumers are increasingly looking for memorable retail experiences.
The relaunch is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen Orchard Road’s position as a lifestyle destination, with differentiated events and retail experiences that will add vibrancy to Singapore’s shopping scene and raise destination appeal. As the largest one-stop store for local brands, with over a hundred brands, the refresh further seeks to nurture and spotlight Singapore’s design talent.
Key features unveiled as a part of the redesigned space include:
- VIP Lounge – where guests can indulge in an exclusive personalised shopping experience, and immerse themselves in the stories, craftsmanship, and details of the homegrown brands’ collections.
- Content creation corner – which will provide brands with a space to create virtual panel discussions, photo shoots, activations, live styling and livestream selling events that straddle both the online and offline spheres – allowing customers with immediate access to new developments and announcements wherever they are.
- Reimagined store window and catwalk – A catwalk will span the length of the Orchard Road window, allowing passers-by to view runway shows, vibrant collection presentations and exhibitions from outside DORS – adding to the vibrancy of Orchard Road.
- Dynamic modular layout that enables the store to be partitioned into new spaces for activations and pop-ups
The new concept and developments mark an important milestone for DORS, as it strives to continuously offer an authentic and premium local experience for customers as well as a supportive platform for Singapore-based brands and designers to flourish.
