Yakiniku Gyubei, Japan’s renowned nose-to-tail yakiniku restaurant, has opened its first overseas outlet at 100 AM Mall in Singapore. Established in 1999 in Chiba, the restaurant has gained recognition for its sustainable “zero-waste” approach to meat consumption, sourcing whole Wagyu cows from Kyushu. With 22 outlets across Japan, its Singapore debut offers diners a chance to explore the full complexity of premium Wagyu beef through a thoughtfully curated menu.
The menu features 24 distinct Wagyu cuts, available à la carte or in omakase sets, showcasing both premium selections like sirloin, shoulder loin, and rump, as well as off-cuts such as tongue, large intestines, and tripe. This nose-to-tail philosophy highlights the versatility of Wagyu beef while promoting sustainability. Beyond beef, the menu also includes non-beef options like Hokkaido pork and chicken, as well as seafood dishes, ensuring something for every palate.
For lunch, diners can choose from set meals such as the Signature Gyubei Lunch or opt for an omakase lunch featuring six types of Wagyu cuts alongside sides and carb dishes. Dinner offers an expanded omakase experience with up to eight beef cuts or a variety of à la carte options, including Wagyu sashimi, carpaccio, and nigiri. With its innovative approach to Wagyu dining, Yakiniku Gyubei brings a unique and sustainable culinary experience to Singapore’s vibrant food scene.
