Tucked away in a discreet, central location, World Wagyu Club Singapore introduces a highly exclusive, members-only dining concept from Japan. Opened in Singapore just six months ago, the restaurant is created in partnership with Ginkakuji Onishi, ASTONS, and Shinshinkiei, a Tokyo-based group operating over 50 members-only restaurants. True to its name, wagyu takes centre stage here, served in a sleek, intimate setting made up entirely of private dining rooms tailored for small groups.
The experience is deliberately personalised and unhurried. Guests are attended to by dedicated staff who handle all the grilling, transforming the meal into a bespoke yakiniku experience where diners can simply sit back and enjoy. Set menus anchor the offering, with highlights including thick-cut wagyu tongue, chateaubriand and indulgent wagyu beef rice topped with truffle. The ventilation system deserves special mention too – despite hours at the grill, the space remains remarkably smoke-free, a rarity for yakiniku dining.
Access, however, is tightly controlled. World Wagyu Club operates on a membership-only basis with no upfront membership fee, but registration is subject to strict conditions and extremely limited availability. Once capacity is reached, no new members or reservations are accepted. Those interested can register their interest by messaging the club directly via Instagram, though securing a seat may still come down to timing – or knowing someone already on the inside. For serious wagyu enthusiasts seeking privacy, precision and exclusivity, this is one of Singapore’s most elusive dining experiences right now.
