Following the massive success of CANCHITA Peruvian Cuisine and TINTO Spanish Restaurant at Dempsey Hill, power couple Chefs Daniel and Tamara Chavez now unveil their third concept VINO TINTO slate to open its door to you on 13 January 2025.
The new outlet marks not only a new feather on the duo’s well-decorated hat but also Chef Daniel’s return to the Central Business District. In 2012, the CBD was where he chose to open his first personal project OLA Cocina Del Mar, which paved the way for subsequent successful hits. It now sees him reclaiming his presence in the area with VINO TINTO.
Borrowing its name for the Spanish words for red wine, VINO TINTO meets the world as a wine bar that also shines the spotlight on Spanish tapas, presenting a concept that provides something to eat and to sip all around the clock. A dedicated drinks programme brings Spanish coffee, Spanish wines and a comprehensive list of cocktails to enliven any and all social gatherings.
VINO TINTO borrows touches from its elder sister restaurant TINTO in Dempsey with unmistakable flavours of Spanish cuisine, showcasing over 30 tapas such as Tostas Ramona, Pulpo la Brasa and Vino Tinto Bikini to be paired with Spanish wines, coffee and cocktails. A selection of signature classics from TINTO also finds its way to VINO TINTO’s menu, like the Gambas al Ajillo, Cochinillo, Paellas and Fideuás. They add to brand new dishes specially created for the new restaurant, including must-tries like Roasted Spanish Artichokes with Garlic Butter, Chicken Skewers with Mojo Verde and Cranberries and Mini Chanchito Tonnato.
At this new Spanish home, Daniel and Tamara will be sharing dishes they have kept in their secret trove, including unique tapas curated from their extensive knowledge from traversing the world. The wine list showcases well known established wineries from regions like Rioja, Priorat and Ribera del Duero as well as unique finds from areas like Jumilla, Toro and Montsant in Spain.
At VINO TINTO, rev up on strong Spanish coffee, always freshly brewed just the way you like it, paired with a freshly baked goodie, to start your day. Come evening, let a menu of Spanish wines and sangria flow, perfectly matched with bite-sized tapas and hearty paellas. Over 30 varieties of tapas scoured from all over Spain are on offer from only $6 while wines are available from only $14 a glass.
A Taste of Spain in the Financial District
VINO TINTO welcomes all from its new space in the financial district, designed to transport diners straight to Spain. The bar restaurant gathers the best aspects of Spain to present Valencia on its alfresco area, Madrid in its main dining hall and Toledo on its terrace. Each visit offers an all-immersive journey with each dining experience.
Ample wood conveys warmth supported by casual rattan chairs and bamboo furnishings. Terracotta walls, exposed brick dividers and red earthen clay pots bring a down-to-earth rusticity, reflecting the laidback unpretentious nature of VINO TINTO’s tapas, paellas, sangria and wines.
