Vän Kafé is the latest café drawing crowds to the west, thanks to its spacious Japandi-inspired interiors and breezy, glasshouse-like setting in Jurong East. The minimalist space feels bright and calming, with a generous outdoor area that’s pet-friendly and ideal for slow afternoons. With queues currently stretching up to an hour, it’s clear this new opening has captured plenty of attention from café-hoppers.
The menu features a mix of brunch favourites and Asian-leaning plates, with popular picks including cod fish and chips, seafood chilli padi pasta, and prawn custard brioche toast. Drinks range from coffee to a full line-up of ten cocktails, from classics like martinis to signatures such as the whisky-honey-cinnamon blend Ojisan Met Cinnamon, and Spicy Lips with spice-infused gin and lemongrass. It’s a comfortable spot to wind down in the evenings too, especially with weekend hours extending to 10.30pm.
Created by the team behind Vän Hus Interior, the café was designed as a space where thoughtful design and community meet. Clean lines, warm textures, and carefully planned seating make it an easy place to settle in, whether for a catch-up, a casual date, or a quiet moment alone. With its inviting atmosphere and considered approach to space, Vän Kafé adds a charming new stop to the west’s growing café landscape.
