Les Amis Group is launching a new no pork, no lard restaurant Torijin on October 1, 2024, at Shaw Centre. Known for Michelin-starred restaurant Les Amis, Peperoni Pizzeria, and Tarte by Cheryl Koh, the group is introducing a fast-casual Japanese dining concept. Torijin will focus on chicken-based dishes like donburi and ramen, taking over the previous space of Tenjin, the group’s tempura donburi brand. The menu was developed by Japanese chef Kawasaki Shimpei, who also leads the group’s other Japanese concepts, Tenjin and Sushi Jin.
Torijin’s menu features ramen with a variety of house-made broths, including Tori Shoyu and Shio Yuzu, made with flavorful ingredients like mature hens, Hokkaido rishiri kombu, ginger, and leeks. A creamy chicken paitan broth, prepared with root vegetables and mushrooms, is also available. Each ramen dish comes with thin Hakata-style noodles, chicken chashu, aji tamago, menma, and nori sheets, offering a satisfying and hearty meal.
For those who prefer rice dishes, Torijin offers options like Tori Chashu Don and Tori Karaage Don. Diners can enhance their meals with add-ons such as mozzarella or Tartar Mayonnaise for extra flavor. The menu also includes chicken side dishes like Truffle Corn, Tori Karaage, and Tori Gyoza. Torijin provides a flavorful and casual dining experience, focusing on fresh, chicken-based dishes.
