When flowers softly bloom in a vibrant corner of the city, a feast of life’s aesthetics begins. From China comes Tomacado (花厨), a lifestyle dining brand that makes its graceful debut in Singapore on 4 September 2025, at the iconic Paragon Shopping Centre on 290 Orchard Road. Carrying forward its philosophy of “Bloom as Flowers, Cook for Love,” Tomacado’s first Singapore store intertwines three core elements: the elegance of Oriental aesthetics, the artistry of floral installations, and a health-forward culinary ethos. Together, they create a floating garden above the Lion City’s urban jungle; a tranquil hideaway where the city’s busiest minds can pause and breathe.
Marking its 10th anniversary, Tomacado marks its global expansion with Singapore as its inaugural overseas flagship store, bringing its essence of “Nature, Health, Beauty, Sustainability” to Southeast Asia, and crafting a sanctuary for the soul. Here, every lingering moment becomes a gentle act of healing for both body and mind.
When Tomato Meets Avocado, Beauty is Born
The name ‘Tomacado’ is a portmanteau springing from the perfect amalgamation of tomato and avocado: two ingredients abundant in vitality. Tomatoes are rich in cancer-fighting lycopene, while avocados hold high-quality unsaturated fatty acids. When enjoyed together, the avocado’s nutrients enhance lycopene’s benefits by up to four times, creating a 1+1>2 synergy of health. This vision flows through every facet of Tomacado, from menu design to spatial aesthetics to brand spirit, coming together as a complete and harmonious experience.
Since its launch in 2015, Tomacado has embraced a way of living that is “Natural, Healthy, Beautiful, and Sustainable”. Through its original three-dimensional model of dining, floral art, and retail, it creates multi-layered lifestyle spaces where urban dwellers can experience the sense of healing amidst a fast-paced lifestyle.
With 13 branches across major cities in mainland China and an award-winning Hong Kong debut in 2023 — including accolades such as “World’s Most Beautiful Restaurant” (Presented by Prix Versailles, 2024) and “Floral Restaurant of the Year 2024” (Presented by LUXlife)— the brand also launched its spin-off concept, Tomacado Café, at Hong Kong International Airport Area this year. Now, with Singapore as its overseas first stop, Tomacado celebrates not only a milestone 10th anniversary but also the beginning of its global journey, allowing its passion for beauty and nature to blossom in the cultural soil of Southeast Asia.
“Singapore is a vibrant and friendly global city, home to many who value quality of life. Its tropical climate and local flavours create a distinctive natural language and cultural atmosphere — everything that Tomacado treasures. As the world-renowned ‘Garden City’, its residents’ deep-rooted connection with nature resonates profoundly with our brand
philosophy. Tomacado’s arrival here is as organic as a flower blossoming in its natural habitat. We are excited to bring a decade’s worth of whimsy and love to this land, to draw inspiration from Southeast Asia’s essence, and to let the same passion for beauty and nature bloom across different cultural landscapes,” says Karen, Founder of Tomacado.
Modern Western Dining with a Distinctly Singaporean Twist
Tomacado Singapore continues the brand’s philosophy of creative fusion cuisine, weaving together Chinese, Japanese, and Southeast Asian flavours into a distinctive Pan-Asian menu.
Start with our appetiser highlights: the Signature Cured Salmon ($28), marinated in dill-infused olive oil and dressed with ground wasabi and lemon juice for a refreshing savouriness. From our salads, try the Tomacado Signature Honey Roasted Pumpkin Salad ($24) — a warm and cool medley of onsen egg, avocado, chickpeas, and nuts.
Mains feature the Tomacado Signature Roasted Chicken with Black Truffle ($39 half; $69 whole), brined and air-dried for 24 hours before roasting to golden perfection, served with truffle and chef’s special chilli flakes; and the must-try MBS 6/7 Wagyu Steak ($89), lightly pan-seared in the French style to lock in natural juices and paired with three different dipping sauces.
Desserts and drinks charm both the eyes and the palate, such as Grape “Oolong” Jelly Panna Cotta ($14), where green grapes and apple glisten within fragrant tea jelly; The Signature Almond Chocolate Cake ($14) presents a symphony of layers: a crisp almond base, decadent chocolate, refreshing coconut jelly, airy sponge, and creamy mousse, all uniting in perfect harmony. The Blue Butterfly Pea Sparkling Soda ($15), a colour-shifting drink where fresh lime turns blue tea into a dreamy lavender hue.
Tomacado has crafted a series of creative Southeast Asian dishes to cater to the palates of Singaporean guests, skillfully crafting local flavours with an international flair. The chef team seamlessly blends French culinary techniques with Southeast Asian spices, resulting in dishes like the Pandan Crusted MBS 3/4 Tenderloin ($53), where succulent pan-seared beef is wrapped in fragrant pandan leaves and served with a romesco sauce, creating a uniquely Southeast Asian experience. The Fiery Seafood Curry on Rice ($38) features prawns, squid, octopus, scallops, and salmon, dressed with red amaranth, chervil, and parsley, and enriched with Grana Padano, coconut milk, and Mediterranean butter. The slow-cooked spicy curry broth coats the risotto, coaxing Eastern and Western flavours into a palate-pleasing bite.
The Seared Tiger Prawn with Crispy Pita ($29) is a must-try for those with a knack for spice. Pan-seared prawn and button mushrooms are served on crispy pita bread, simmered in a coconut milk-infused laksa broth with fresh herbs and a homemade chili sauce. These Southeast Asian-inspired flavours blend seamlessly, creating a savoury, spicy, and tangy experience that truly awakens the palate.
From the bright and nourishing vegetarian Roasted Beetroot & Quinoa Salad ($20), to the delicately tangy Citrus-Infused Hokkaido Scallop Tartare ($28), and the Pandan Cream French Toast with Ice Cream & Mango Blossom ($14), each dish showcases the brand’s deep understanding of fusion cuisine. For a palate cleanser, the iced Ambarella & Green Apple Citrus Splash ($14) bursts with sweet and sour fruitiness, offering the perfect finale.

The Peony & Vanda Miss Joaquim: A Blooming Duet of Heritage & Artistry
Staying true to its “one store, one palette” design philosophy, Tomacado Singapore’s interiors blossom from the inspiration of the Chinese peony and Singapore’s national flower, the Vanda Miss Joaquim. In this intimate space, prosperous and auspicious Eastern charm, blends with the stylish elegance of the Lion City’s Nanyang style, creating a floral dialogue that transcends cultural boundaries.
In celebration of the opening of Tomacado Singapore, eight preeminent artisans of China’s National Intangible Cultural Heritage have each meticulously created an original artwork, commissioned by Tomacado. Uniting the collection is the motif of the peony, interpreted through eight distinct and precious heritage crafts, including: Nanjing Yunjin brocade, Nanjing velvet flowers, Suzhou embroidery, Beijing cloisonné enamel, Fengning cloth-paste painting in Hebei, Shui ethnic horsehair embroidery from Guizhou, coloured glaze glass from Zibo, and Yunnan Jianchuan wood carving. Each piece blends Tomacado’s modern romanticism with centuries-old artistry, stitching together the beauty of distant regions into a timeless ode to the East.
Furthermore, Tomacado has commissioned botanical artists to craft six exquisite orchid specimens. These pieces rest lightly and gracefully within this “Garden of Four Seasons.” Their inspiration is drawn from Singapore’s national flower, the Vanda Miss Joaquim orchid, these works form a floral dialogue—a twin language of blossoms— that captures the shared natural aesthetics of both nations. Each petal and leaf embodying this poetic essence, much like the cultural meeting of China and Singapore.
Furthermore, the store design thoughtfully incorporates peony motifs and the traditional latticed windows of Chinese gardens, forging a breathtaking spatial experience. Upon entering, baby pink tones and lilac peony art installations cascade throughout the entrance, flower shop, and dining area, accentuated by graceful curved lines that evoke a calm and romantic atmosphere. Each turn reveals a new perspective, as if stepping into a carefully composed painting; soft wall tones harmonise with the peony details, accented by plush velvet sofas. The overall palette is kept light and airy, enhanced by greenery arranged with meticulous care, conjuring the experience of dining deep within a peony garden.
The Ritual of a Flower: From Table to Home
In line with Tomacado’s lifestyle concept, the Singapore store features both a flower boutique and a retail section, so guests can take home the fragrance and memory of their visit. Offerings include Tomacado’s “Book of Tea”, tableware & teaware, premium scented candles, fresh hand-tied bouquets, and flower buckets. Resident florists are also available on hand for bespoke creations. Whether for a loved one or for yourself, each arrangement is a personal bloom of beauty and sentiment.
Tomacado’s Singapore location also proudly features a special exhibition and retail space dedicated to Intangible Cultural Heritage crafts. Here, you will find the “Lotus Moon, Dawn Dream” series of butterfly brooches, created by Ms. Zhou Haiyun, an inheritor of the Suzhou embroidery tradition. With exquisite needlework, these pieces capture the graceful flutter of a butterfly’s wings—as if they have lightly taken flight from our garden, journeyed over mountains and straits, and come to rest upon your lapel. Each brooch distills 2,000 years of Suzhou embroidery artistry into a wearable form of poetry.
