Nourish not just your body and mind, but also your soul at The Soup Expert, a veteran that has been brewing comforting Cantonese double-boiled soups for the last 18 years. Making its first overseas debut here on 16 October 2025 at Suntec City (#03-315, 316, 331), diners can look forward to salubrious soups served in iconic charming individual “teapots”, designed to be shared with a gesture akin to a toast.
Focusing on the time-honoured Cantonese technique of slow simmering, The Soup Expert elevates its broths by using only premium ingredients for each brew. In addition, it harnesses a unique steam-boiling technique where each soup is simmered for four hours in a proprietary tower cabinet that locks in all the moisture and heat, in order to extract maximum nutrients and deep, natural flavours.
More than just taste, each soup is designed to support specific wellness needs: beauty and vitality for women, stamina and energy for men, immune support for those under the weather as well as brain-nourishing recipes for children in their developmental years. These are all made possible using the concoction of Chinese herbs that have been known for its health properties.
A Special Approach to Soup
At The Soup Expert, much care also goes into how its broths are served. Each brew is brought to the table in custom-made “teapots”, individual servings that represent the unique needs of every customer. These soup-filled “teapots” are also a joy to use, with an ergonomic handle perpendicular to its spout, to facilitate pouring without getting scalded. Even the cups are teacups, with “ears” on each side to help you handle the piping-hot brew as you savour it.
Each soup is brewed for 4 hours, each pot filled to the brim with premium, curated ingredients to deliver clarity, freshness, and nourishment with every sip. The best way to relish your chosen blend is to first sniff the lid, which reveals the natural smell of herbs. Next, peek inside, to admire its rich, amber colour and clear consistency, without any unpleasant sediment. Lastly, when you drink it, note its thicker aftertaste, and longer finish.

Plethora of Health Benefits
To energise and revitalise, have the Abalone Ginseng Soup ($14.90), a bestseller at The Soup Expert from the very beginning. It features a whole, tender abalone paired with cultivated ginseng which strikes a balance between freshness and depth, making it perfect for both daily wellness and business dining.
Supporting digestion and breathing is the Chinese Dates Fig Root Chicken Soup ($9.90), where the jujubes and fig root aid digestion due to their fibre content. This concoction is also said to benefit the lungs.
For radiance and clarity, order the Daylily Trotters Soup ($10.90). Some studies have shown that daylily contains anti-inflammatory and antioxidant compounds while having a natural calming effect.
A familiar favourite is the Bitter Gourd Pork Ribs Soup ($10.90), where bitter gourd is commonly known to cool a “heaty” body. It also helps with detoxification, while the pork ribs provide balance while its natural sweetness makes the soup more palatable.

Sweet and savoury, of land and sea, is the Sea Coconut Black Chicken Soup ($12.90). This comforting combination melds the best of both worlds, incorporating the cooling and lung nourishing properties of the sea coconut, with the calming and warming qualities of black chicken.
To nourish the body and calm the mind, have the American Ginseng Duck Soup ($12.90). This is a fantastic salve for those who are constantly stressed, as American ginseng is a cooling tonic used to restore balance for symptoms of Yin deficiency, such as fatigue and “heat” from late nights or a fast-paced lifestyle. Meanwhile, duck is said to benefit the kidneys and lungs, while reducing water retention.
Last but not least, for a youthful glow and immunity, order the luxurious classic, Buddha Jumps Over the Wall ($38.90). A collagen-rich brew of abalone, sea cucumber, and fish maw to benefit the skin, the herbal infusion can also strengthen the immune system, fight fatigue, with some anti-aging properties.
Signature Chicken Dishes
Beyond soup, tuck into three hearty poultry signatures that The Soup Expert also takes pride in. These include the Cooker-baked Dang Gui Chicken (whole $36.90, half $18.90), presented in a rice cooker. The poultry is first marinated with a secret recipe for over 10 hours, before it is infused with angelica root (dang gui), red dates, and goji berries in the cooker pot. The result is a tender, flavourful chicken in a nourishing broth, a dish that embodies the wisdom of Chinese culinary tradition where food and medicine intertwine.
Meanwhile, the Xian Miao Roast Chicken (whole $36.90, half $18.90) has been refined with a secret blend of over 10 carefully selected spices. Gently roasted till glistening, the meat is succulent within with a crispy exterior.
Completing the trifecta is Garlic Sandstorm Chicken (whole $36.90, half $18.90), fried to golden, garlicky perfection, with more of this immunity-boosting bulb appearing as a delicious crispy garlic topping.
More Dishes to Complete Your Meal
The Soup Expert proves its culinary prowess with a wide array of other hot and cold dishes that span seafood, stir-fries, noodles, rice, vegetables and more.

Or dive into the Chilled Seafood Medley (regular $10.90, large $16.90), a palate-cleansing appetiser where the fresh seafood is tossed in chilli oil, akin to the refreshing mala taste of kou shui ji, an iconic mouthwatering Sichuan cold chicken dish.
Spice up any meal with the Dry Pot Bullfrog with Shrimp ($25.90), comprising 5 different ingredients: bullfrog, prawns, rice cake, celtuce, and lotus root. This spicy and numbing stir-fry is addictive, the tender and melt-in-the-mouth bullfrog the star of the show. A must-order is the Five Harmony Prawn Cake ($18.90/3 slices), a house-made side that highlights the freshness and sweetness of the prawns used.
