The one-Michelin-starred Sushi Ryujiro from Tokyo has officially opened in Singapore under the Les Amis Group, offering diners refined sushi. Owned by chef Ryujiro Nakamura and helmed by head chef Naruki Ikeda, Sushi Ryujiro is renowned for the quality of its seafood, especially its tuna sourced from Yamayuki, a top dealer at Tokyo’s Toyosu market. While you can expect some signatures from the Tokyo flagship, such as the kappa maki, be prepared for an exploration into new yet time-honored territory.
As the first and only outpost of the Michelin-starred and Japanese Tablelog Silver awardee Sushi Ryujiro, the Singapore location continues the tradition established by Ryujiro Nakamura when he opened his namesake restaurant in Tokyo in November 2019. The focus remains on sourcing the freshest ingredients and crafting each sushi with meticulous care and attention.
Chef Ryujiro’s style is the culmination of skills acquired from three masters: Nobuharu Hase of Aoizushi, Takahito Hanawa of Sushi Hagihara, and Mitsuyasu Nagano of Umi. He honors their legacy by bringing their time-honored techniques and teachings to the heart of Singapore.
