SOT (솥) brings the rich, authentic flavors of Korean cuisine to Telok Ayer with a unique take on Korean BBQ. Inspired by the traditional gamasot, a large iron cauldron used for centuries in Korean cooking, SOT is the first restaurant in Singapore to incorporate this method for grilling meat. Instead of conventional tabletop grills, meats and vegetables are tossed into large iron drum griddles, creating a distinct and immersive dining experience.
The menu offers a variety of BBQ platters, including the Beef BBQ Platter with beef brisket, sirloin, and LA Galbi, as well as the Pork BBQ Platter and the adventurous Large Intestine Platter, a popular choice in Korea. Guests can also enjoy classic Korean side dishes (banchan) such as kimchi, beansprouts, and house-made dipping sauces. The interactive cooking process is expertly handled by the staff, allowing diners to relax while savoring perfectly grilled meats.
Beyond BBQ, SOT serves hearty stews like Jjim-Dak, a braised chicken stew, and Dak-doritang, a spicy variation loaded with glass noodles, vegetables, and rice cakes. With its innovative cooking style and bold flavours, SOT offers a one-of-a-kind dining experience, blending Korean culinary tradition with a modern twist.
