Lovers of Si Chuan Dou Hua Restaurant’s chilli-packed dishes and sweet-and-sour vinegar delicacies will find more to relish as the restaurant in PARKROYAL on Beach Road reopens with a new menu following a kitchen makeover.
A new heart of operations supports a host of new dishes materialized by Chinese Head Chef Dave Lai, who digs into his 25 years of expertise in Cantonese and Sichuan cuisine to create a menu highlighting nostalgic Cantonese roasts and more authentic Sichuan flavours.
The revamped menu introduces a selection of barbecued meats for the first time, continuing the tradition and specialty of Si Chuan Dou Hua Restaurant at PARKROYAL on Kitchener Road which is no longer in operation. Fans of the old place will find all their favourite flavours of nostalgia in communal dishes and staples of meat and rice, complete with the same feeling of comfort and wholesomeness.
The new dishes will be progressively made available at Si Chuan Dou Hua Restaurant on PARKROYAL on Beach Road, starting from 1 June.
In between meals, luxuriate away idle afternoons with the Imperial High Tea, served in the Tian Fu Tea Room, which welcomes all to immerse in complete peace and zen for the perfect mid-day break. Each session takes place amidst the ornate Oriental décor of the room brought to life by classic Oriental decoratives, tea accessories and calligraphy paintings.
Sip on tea in the traditional way with the high tea set that pairs fine Chinese tea with an array of exquisite handmade dim sum. Completing the yum cha session is a Kung Fu Tea performance. The Tian Fu Tea Room has recently undergone a revamp, featuring a retail area for tea enthusiasts and guests where tea sets or tea leaves can be purchased for enjoyment in the comforts of their homes.
The Si Chuan Dou Hua Imperial High Tea is available daily from 2.30pm-5.30pm.
