Following the 2025 opening of rumeL Cafe at Bugis+, created in collaboration with Australia’s Number One Pizza Chef Silvio Gropelli, Hersing Culinary now launches rumeL Cucina at the easily accessible Paya Lebar Quarter (PLQ). The new concept expands the brand into a full Italian casual dining spot that balances quality with exceptional value, poised to be Singapore’s next best-kept secret.
Like rumeL Cafe, its menu will showcase wallet-friendly – and possibly Singapore’s cheapest – Sourdough Neapolitan Pizzas from $6.80. This Cucina iteration also introduces freshly made pastas from $7.80, complemented by freshly crafted tiramisu and gelato.
Affordable Sourdough Neapolitan Pizzas
Since its opening in Singapore in 2025, rumeL has been backed by Hersing Culinary in collaboration with Australia’s Number One Pizza Chef, Silvio Gropelli. The concept is anchored by a special in-house pizza dough recipe created by the award-winning chef. Gropelli is a Sicilian-born-and-raised pizzaiolo who has been proudly recognised in 50 Top Pizza World, No.5 in 50 Top Pizza Asia Pacific and No.1 in 50 Top Pizza Australia in 2024. Influential Italian food publication Gambero Rosso and Italian pizza guide 50 Top Pizza have consistently recognised him as one of the best pizzaiolos in Oceania.
Since its opening here in 2025, rumeL has been known for its best-seller: The world’s first Kaya Butter Sourdough Neapolitan Pizza, a modern take on Singapore’s favourite breakfast, the quintessential Kaya Butter Toast.
Get a taste of Napoli with other great value-for-money pizzas starting from only $6.80 for 6 inches and from $10.80 for 10 inches. Signatures include Hot Honey Cheese, a creamy blend of cheddar and mozzarella topped with a mildly spicy hot honey drizzle; and the Smoky BBQ Chicken, where the tender grilled chicken meets sweet yellow capsicum and gooey mozzarella for that cheese pull – all on a smoky BBQ sauce base. Another crowd favourite is Hawaiian, a classic sweet-and-savoury combo of melty mozzarella, chicken ham, and juicy pineapple.
Other fun pizza creations include Wild Mushroom for that earthy, umami party in your mouth; the Italian-inspired Eggplant Parmigiana; Shakshuka for those hearty eggy breakfast vibes; and Kimchi Bacon with bold gochujang sauce that you can share with your oppa or omma.
Fresh Handmade Sourdough Pizza Sets are also available from a value-for-money $8.80, which includes a choice of pizza, one side, and a beverage.

Wallet-Friendly Freshly Daily Made Pastas
Also new at rumeL Cucina are platters of Freshly Made Pastas. Get your authentic Italian pasta fix from $7.80, with classics that include Aglio Olio – spaghetti gently tossed in olive oil, garlic and chilli padi – and its other variations: Aglio Olio with Bacon, Aglio Olio with Chicken, Aglio Olio with Prawn.
Don’t miss the Beef Bolognese, the spaghetti harmonised with a savoury minced beef tomato sauce; Carbonara where eggs and cheese are emulsified for that creamy consistency with the smoky touch from the bacon; and Vongole for the seafood lovers, brimming with fresh clams, garlic, olive oil, and a splash of white wine.
Also on the menu are the vegetarian-friendly Pomodoro, a spaghetti with a light and vibrant tomato sauce base finished with aromatic herbs; and Mushroom Alfredo, where the pasta is tossed in a rich and creamy sauce with sautéed mushrooms.
