Tasty pizzas and good coffee need not break the bank as proven by rumeL, the latest coffee and pizza specialist opening in Singapore, now baking up Singapore’s cheapest Sourdough Neapolitan-style pizzas from only $5 for a whole pizza up to 10 inches.
From its ovens comes the world’s first Kaya Butter Sourdough Neapolitan Pizza, a modern take on Singapore’s favourite breakfast, the Kaya Butter Toast. Brought in by Hersing Culinary, rumeL seeks the skills and know-how of Australia’s number one pizza chef Silvo Gropelli, who has created a special in-house pizza dough recipe for rumeL. Gropelli is a Sicilian-born-and-raised pizzaiolo who has been proudly recognised in 50 Top Pizza World, No.5 in 50 Top Pizza Asia Pacific and No.1 in 50 Top Pizza Australia in 2024. Influential Italian food publication Gambero Rosso and Italian pizza guide 50 Top Pizza have consistently recognised him as one of the best pizzaiolos in Oceania.
Wash it all down with artisanal coffee beverages brewed from beans roasted by Harry Ko, the De’Longhi Australian Brewers Cup Champion of 2022. Bite into rumeL’s offerings baked up in two sizes: 6 inches and 10 inches. Classic flavours of traditional Neapolitan pizzas come with the unique benefits of naturally fermented sourdough crust. With its tangy flavour and crispy texture, rumeL’s pizzas are not just healthier but also more flavourful, striking the perfect balance of taste and nutrition for pizza lovers. Ensuring quality and authentic flavour, all tomatoes used in the pizzas’ sauces as well as cheeses for their toppings are shipped from Italy with no corners cut.
rumeL ferments all its pizza dough for 48 hours, ensuring enhanced flavour, texture and nutritional benefits with each bite. Upon baking, it is crispy on the teeth and easier on the digestion, making it tastier to eat and healthier to digest compared to regular pizza.
