Penang Culture

Penang Culture, the original premier halal-certified restaurant dedicated to Penang cuisine in Singapore, is proud to unveil a brand-new look and feel to continue telling the story of Penang and its inimitable flavours.

As an ode to celebrating Penang’s gastronomy that beats as the heart of the island’s vibrant soul and culture, the new identity will be unveiled in Compass One, Sengkang, encompassing a new logo, colourways, and exclusive food offerings. The new concept borrows from the communal spirit of zi char, the dining concept highly popular in the state where friends and family gather together to and savour a medley of individual dishes for delicious and uncompromised quality time together.

This new chapter of the Penang Culture story also celebrates an exclusive collaboration with one of Malaysia’s leading heritage brands, Ghee Hiang. Founded in 1856 with over 160 years of heritage, Ghee Hiang is known for their traditional pastries and biscuits from Georgetown, Penang. Further adding a touch of Penang, Heng Lee Sauce, one of Malaysia’s leading manufacturers of traditional sauces since being established in 1971, brings sauces produced through the traditional natural fermentation methods with carefully selected produce of the highest quality.

Dedicated to preserving Penang’s cultural heritage through their cuisine, Penang Culture dishes are an authentic taste of Penang, prepared with ingredients sourced directly from the city and trusted suppliers, ensuring every bite bursts with true Penang flavours.
