Killiney brings Singapore’s iconic flavours to Smith Street, Chinatown, serving up traditional kaya toast, aromatic kopi, hearty laksa, and the beloved Milo Dinosaur. With a heritage dating back to 1919, the original Killiney Kopitiam on Killiney Road started as a humble Hainanese coffee shop, known for its charcoal-grilled toast and well-brewed beverages. In 1993, loyal customer Mr. Woon Tek Seng fulfilled his dream of owning the shop, renovating it while preserving its nostalgic charm.
Under Mr. Woon’s management, Killiney remained committed to tradition. Despite modern updates, the shop retained its original working style, thanks to three longtime staff members who passed down their expertise in making kaya, toast, coffee, and tea. Their dedication helped uphold the legacy of this beloved institution.
Today, Killiney Kopitiam offers an expanded menu featuring a variety of local delicacies while staying true to its roots. With multiple locations across Singapore, it continues to bring the comforting taste of tradition closer to its loyal customers.
