Nestled discreetly along Prinsep Street, Incloud (巷云端) is a Chinese teahouse that has captured attention for its unique “floating stream” table. Inspired by a similar concept from Japan, this standout feature lets drinks and snacks drift along a water channel, enhanced by swirling mist, drifting petals, and decorative moss—creating a serene and almost meditative experience. Despite its modest exterior, the teahouse offers an immersive sensory escape that’s become wildly popular with locals and visitors alike.
The menu at Incloud centres around premium Chinese teas, creatively reinterpreted through curated sets and artisanal beverages. A highlight is the “one tea three drinks” experience, which transforms a single tea base into three versions: pure, mocktail, and nitro. Each set is accompanied by a refined selection of sweets and nuts, with one of the treats playfully sent along the stream. The milk-based brews are also a favourite, served warm atop wooden warmers and infused with ingredients like goji berries, chrysanthemum, and red dates. While the flavours lean sweet, they are thoughtfully paired with light nibbles designed to complement the teas.
As seating at the floating stream table is limited to just 10 guests, early reservations are strongly advised. The communal layout may have guests sharing space with strangers during peak hours, while alternative seating options include tatami and booth areas for a quieter experience. Note that orders from this section of the teahouse typically require selecting higher-priced items. Though the Chinese-only menu may pose a challenge for non-speakers, staff are on hand to assist, making Incloud both a photogenic and flavorful destination for tea lovers seeking something out of the ordinary.
