Ida’s, nestled in Singapore’s vibrant contemporary arts cluster Gillman Barracks, redefines summertime gatherings with a perfect blend of creativity and stylish sips. A vibrant lifestyle destination with three distinct functions, Ida’s invites guests to an oasis of elegance and calm in the lush botanical surroundings and enjoy alfresco drinking and dining.
Ida’s Bar
The alfresco courtyard serves as a daytime haven, seamlessly transforming into the chic Ida’s Bar as evening approaches. Guests are invited to unwind in its relaxed atmosphere with sundown drinks from 5pm. The bar’s menu – developed in partnership with Cat Bite Crew (the team behind Cat Bite Club) – offers botanical cocktails and summer-inspired bites that perfectly capture the essence of the space and storied neighbourhood. Led by award-winning Head Bartender Nikki Lacsamana (ex-Manhattan Bar) and his team, guests can choose from nine signature cocktails and eight classic favourites, or opt for either of the two refreshing cocktails that deliver a refreshing no-alcohol serve that doesn’t compromise on complexity and taste.
Café Nanas features a layered blend of Mr. Black Coffee Liqueur, Havana Club 7 rum, Cointreau, and a dusting of warm nutmeg. Minted Passion delivers a refreshing mix of Koch Elemental Mezcal, Bianco vermouth, Aperol, passion fruit and mint, elegantly served in a coupe. The Tequila Sunset provides a vibrant twist on a classic, topped with a unique blue pea lychee float. For those who prefer the classics, the Sloe Gin Fizz and Paloma offer refreshing sips, while the Penicillin, New York Sour and Old Fashioned are modern and storied classics to be sipped in the shade of the botanical surrounds. Craft beers by the bottle and wines are also available at Ida’s Bar.
Ida’s Restaurant
Head Chef Aiman Hanafi (ex-Pollen and Binomio), enhances the bar experience with a selection of Mediterranean-style dishes. With tapas, mains and desserts, the menu invites guests to begin with the refreshing Green Gazpacho topped with crunchy croutons and bright cherry tomatoes. For a richer flavour, guests can opt for the Potato Gnocchi, complemented by chilli crisp yoghurt and fried shallots, while the Lamb Croquettes deliver a hearty bite that’s cut through by the sharpness of pickles. Mains include grilled dishes of Octopus, sous-vide for 5 hours and served with chunks of smoky chorizo and potatoes, as well as Iberico Pork, served with pickled pear, arugula and walnut. Desserts prove to be a decadent affair with Ida’s Semifreddo Doughnut, made of a genoise sponge cake, white chocolate mousse, and raspberry coulis, while the Almond Choux Puff rounds off the meal with a sweet finish that evokes nostalgic flavours of summertime.
Private Event Space
At the heart of Ida’s is its event space, which has an adaptable layout and the capacity to host up to 160 seated or 300 standing guests. The elegant space is filled with handmade furniture from Bali and can be expanded into the alfresco courtyard for sunlit afternoon or evening affairs that incorporate the bar, offering a highly customisable layout for flexible hosting.
Charlotte Puxley Flowers
Ida’s is also home to a creative in-house floral studio led by Charlotte Puxley. Founded in 2015, the brand has been recognised as one of Singapore’s top florists and is synonymous with bespoke works of floral art. Public workshops are offered at the floral studio, with private workshops available upon request.
