Singapore’s next Sanrio-themed dining experience dives underwater with the arrival of the country’s first-ever Hangyodon-themed café, opening for a limited run from January 2026. As Cinnamoroll’s pop-up bows out, the spotlight shifts to the half-fish, half-human character, who makes a splashy return following his appearance at the Singapore Oceanarium before swimming over to Wong Fu Fu.
Taking over the Taiwanese café from January 7, the Hangyodon edition follows Wong Fu Fu’s familiar Sanrio pop-up format, featuring themed mains, drinks, desserts, playful décor, and a dedicated merchandise corner. The menu includes chilled ramen served with smoked duck salad, a mantou burger paired with curly fries, and a seafood-forward rice dish presented in Hangyodon’s likeness. Fans can also expect Wong Fu Fu’s signature Taiwanese snacks to round out the meal, with each order served in a limited-edition Hangyodon snack box designed for keepsakes.
Desserts and drinks lean fully into kawaii territory. A bubblegum cream Swiss roll is styled after Hangyodon himself, complete with strawberries and heart-shaped marshmallows, while matcha-based drinks arrive with collectible cup holders featuring Hangyodon and his octopus companion, Sayuri. With its immersive visuals and character-led menu, the pop-up offers fans a whimsical way to dine with one of Sanrio’s most endearing underdogs—if only for a short while.
