An award-winning Bedrock unveils a fresh open wood-fired grill concept: Fireplace by Bedrock. Located within the exciting new urban lifestyle hub: One Holland Village, Fireplace is designed to draw diners with a welcoming warmth and conviviality. Like its home environment of Holland Village, which blends the old and new to create a vibrant neighbourhood, the concept melds the charm of age- old elemental cooking with the elegance of sleek modernity to create a universal appeal.
An extension of the Bedrock brand, Fireplace inherits the DNA of the popular steakhouse. Born of earth, food and fire in 2008, Bedrock was founded on the philosophy of creating unforgettable dining experiences with simple, classic dishes crafted from the finest ingredients from around the world. The concept is centred on celebrating nature’s glory through an expert application of the element technique of open-fire grilling on natural ingredients sourced from the earth, of the earth and by the earth. The result: a cuisine that is at once sophisticated yet accessible. This fundamental quality of Bedrock has been key to its popularity for over a decade – and stands as the bedrock for the concept behind Fireplace.
Fireplace places a strong emphasis on the precise manipulation of fire to accentuate the innate, rustic flavours of each ingredient. Chic yet with a more relaxed vibe than its sister restaurants, it is created to bring the Bedrock brand of gastronomic experience to an even wider audience.
Guests can look forward to a sensorial experience. A gallery of meat, seafood, and other ingredients in a glass-encased showcase makes a captivating display for patrons as they step through the entrance. Within the main dining room, an open-kitchen anchors the space, offering all diners a mesmerising view of chefs deftly working at an open wood-fire grill. Beyond a demonstration of culinary finesse and precision, this is also a sight that evokes a sense of togetherness associated with gathering around a meal prepared at an open fire.
Apart from the versatile menu of flame-grilled produce, seafood and meats that caters to one and all, Fireplace’s warm, atmospheric environment also makes it a perfect destination for friends, family and colleagues to connect over a hearty, communal meal.
The pet-friendly, 34-seat outdoor terrace is shaded by pergolas, offering a breezy, laid- back environment for a relaxed meal reminiscent of al fresco meals cooked on the open fire.
Within the main dining room, expansive floor-to-ceiling windows create an indoor space that is light, airy and inviting. The interiors feature rammed earth wall textures, a nod to Bedrock’s philosophy of using natural ingredients sourced from the earth, and sports a colour palette that is inspired by the rich and earthy hue of the Quebracho tree in Argentina, exuding warmth and comfort. Light timber tabletops, contrasting
leather chairs and a caramel leatherette banquette that runs the length of the space, further add to the cosy, inviting aesthetics of the 56-seater room.
All seats at the main dining room offer a mesmerising view of the chefs expertly working the open wood-fire grill at the show kitchen. Tucked away behind a metal mesh curtain is a cosy 8-seater semi-private dining area, perfect for business luncheons, intimate gatherings, and celebrations. The textured walls reminiscent of burnt coal lend an interesting finish to the area.
With its varied spaces and versatile offerings, Fireplace is as much a place for cosy catch-ups over sparkling conversation, as it is for big, boisterous parties to bond over laughter and song.
