Crave Nasi Lemak, now a household name for serving Singapore’s Favourite Nasi Lemak, is celebrating a major milestone: Its 10th anniversary. Known for its fluffy basmati rice infused with fragrant coconut milk, crispy chicken, and rich sambal chilli, Crave has perfected Singapore’s beloved traditional dish – going above and beyond to preserve its authenticity, while also innovating, to cater to modern tastes.
Crave’s story began in 2015, when a loyal customer of the award-winning Adam Road Nasi Lemak by Selera Rasa reached out to one of its owners, Dr Abdul Malik Hassan, with a business plan. This brought the food centre’s number one nasi lemak stall to major shopping malls, where more people could savour its distinctive and traditional style of aromatic coconut rice dish.
Over the past decade, Crave has become synonymous with rich heritage, authentic flavours, and satisfying meals. From a single stall in Adam Road, Crave has now grown to over 32 outlets islandwide. To mark this special occasion, Crave is unveiling a revamped concept that represents the brand’s evolution while staying true to its roots – still honouring its heritage from 1972, but innovating to elevate the Crave Nasi Lemak experience even further.
This latest store at Marina Bay Link Mall offers not just a fresh aesthetic with a vibrant, contemporary design, there will also be new products, and a dedicated grill area for live culinary showmanship, enhancing the in-store experience for customers.
Rebuilt, Refreshed, and Ready to Impress
At the heart of Crave’s new concept at Marina Bay Link Mall is an all-new signature Satay & Sambal Seafood Grilling Station. This live showcase is not only a feast for the eyes but creates the atmosphere of an authentic hawker stall – the crackling of the flames, the sizzling sounds, those fragrant and deliciously smoky aromas – while diners relish their meal in air-conditioned comfort, protected from the flames by a glass panel as they watch the expert grill masters in action.
At this new crave store, nasi lemak fans can now dine in as there will be ample seats available whether they come as solo diners looking for a quick lunch fix, or a group of colleagues or friends looking to catch up over good food.
Bold New Flavours Rooted in Singapore’s Rich Hawker Heritage Taking inspiration from Dr Malik’s vision, deeply influenced by his roots in Singapore’s vibrant hawker culture, where he grew up surrounded by the bustling atmosphere of local food centres like Adam Road Food Centre which holds a special place in his heart, Newton Circle, Lau Pa Sat, and East Coast Food Village. Dr. Malik seeks to blend the rich legacy of these iconic hawker spots with modern culinary innovations, ensuring that Singapore’s food culture remains dynamic, inclusive, and true to its roots.
At its new Marina Bay Link Mall outlet, Crave bring the heart of hawker culture directly to your table with Singapore’s most iconic street fare.
