CAFE O Bugis

Proudly serving the best of Singapura’s comfort food, kopi and teh. Conceived as a place to showcase Singapore’s unique coffee shop culture, CAFE O is where you can savour authentic Kopi O, Teh Tarik, Nasi Lemak and Roti Prata. The logo of the café incorporates the four national languages of Singapore — Chinese, English, Malay and Tamil — signifying its ambition to celebrate the melting pot of heritage cuisines.

The specially curated menu will satisfy all hankerings for quintessential local fare. Tuck into the Crispy Fluffy Roti Prata, made à la minute, whose crisp and light texture holds up well even when dipped in the accompanying fish curry. Or go with the hearty Nasi Lemak: fragrant, fresh coconut milk-kissed rice is paired with the must-haves of chicken wing, sunny side-up, otah, fried fish and of course sambal chilli. Wash the food down with a choice of kopi, teh, and teh halia, all full-bodied and aromatic.

Discover two speciality dishes at the Bugis outlet. The Malay Ginger Chicken Rice marks a marriage between Malay-style fried chicken and traditional Chinese chicken rice. Fresh spring chicken is marinated for 24 hours with turmeric, ginger and a medley of spices, and then deep-fried to a golden-brown crunch. Juicy and flavoursome, the chicken is paired impeccably with aromatic, glistening grains of rice cooked with chicken broth, lemongrass and pandan leaves.   A unique and delectable fusion, the Nian Gao Prata sees a chunk of rice cake sandwiched between the Indian flatbread. The interplay of chewy and crispy is highly addictive!
