After more than three decades of serving Filipino comfort food to generations of loyal guests, Mary Grace is expanding beyond the Philippines for the first time, with a new 28-seater café opening on Tras Street in Singapore’s Tanjong Pagar district on 13 March 2026.
The café will serve its much-loved signature Ensaymadas and Cheese Rolls, alongside favourites from the Philippines and Singapore-exclusive creations, all while bringing its distinct brand of warmth, comforting flavours, and heartfelt hospitality to our sunny shores.
The Journey From A Mother’s Kitchen To The Lion City
Founded in 1994 by Mary Grace Dimacali, the brand began not as a business but as an expression of care. With a deep love and passion for baking, Mary Grace would bake up a storm in her kitchen – from birthday cakes for her five children to sweet treats like fruitcakes, cream puffs, lemon squares, and brownies to be shared amongst family and friends.
Made by hand and in small batches, these delights soon found their way beyond the family table, travelling to bazaars and local markets, each treat bringing an abundance of joy and requests for more. This eventually blossomed into a brick-and-mortar bakery kiosk in 2002, followed by the opening of the first Café Mary Grace in 2006. Over the years, what began as a mother’s labour of love has grown into one of the Philippines’ most beloved café brands that generations of Filipinos look fondly upon as a home away from home.
With a strong foundation built on decades of commitment, craftsmanship and care, Café Mary Grace has found a new place to belong in Singapore – a city celebrated for its vibrant dining culture and appreciation for Southeast Asian flavours. Now, as the café opens its doors, the same signature hospitality and comfort-driven experience awaits guests on Tras Street.

What’s On The Menu At The First Café Mary Grace in Singapore
At the heart of Café Mary Grace Singapore are the pastries that have made it a household name in the Philippines. The Mary Grace Ensaymada (S$5.50) features a light, buttery brioche crowned with premium aged Edam cheese that melts delicately with every bite. Just as beloved are the Mary Grace Cheese Rolls (S$4.30), soft and golden with a smooth, creamy cheese centre – best enjoyed alongside the Mary Grace Hot Chocolate (S$7.50), rich and deeply satisfying. For something more indulgent, the Mango Bene (S$14.50, petite) layers crisp meringue and silky custard cream with fresh mangoes, creating a dessert that is both refreshing and decadent.
Singapore-exclusive creations, including a Salted Egg Ensaymada (S$6.50) and a Kaya Pandan Cheese Roll (S$5.30), have also been crafted to delight local palates, offering a fresh, Singaporean twist on the classic flavours that define the brand.
For a heartier experience, the café brings a taste of Filipino comfort food to the table. Start with lightly seasoned handmade Cassava Chips with Onion Dip (S$12), crisp and subtly sweet, or enjoy fresh salads such as the White Cheese Salad with Calamansi Vinaigrette (S$18), balancing halloumi cheese with zesty citrus notes.
For mains, guests can savour nostalgic Filipino classics such as the Angus Beef Tapa (S$25.50) – tender, savoury, Angus beef slices served with fragrant rosemary fried rice or garlic rice, and eggs your way – or the vibrant Grilled Chicken Inasal Focaccia (S$19.50), marinated in a tangy achuete-spiced blend and grilled to perfection. Brunch lovers can also indulge in the Crabcake Brioche (S$27), another Singapore-exclusive creation, featuring savoury golden crab cakes nestled on soft ensaymada brioche dough.
The café offers an array of drinks, from rich, aromatic coffees to playful cloud drinks, giving every visit a perfect complement to the food. Whether you’re stopping by for a sweet treat, a comforting meal, or a leisurely coffee, every bite and sip is crafted to bring heartfelt delight – just like Mary Grace intended.

Bringing The Goodness Of Home To Tras Street
For those who have visited Café Mary Grace branches in the Philippines, stepping into the Singapore outpost will feel familiar yet delightfully new. The 28-seater space reflects the brand’s signature intimate aesthetic, with stained-glass pendant lights, warm wood accents, and a collaborative mural by Filipino artist Amanda Lapus Santos and Singaporean artist
Eunice Hannah Lim – celebrating the meeting of cultures. Infusing each café with a mother’s touch, Mary Grace Dimacali personally handpicks and arranges every piece of décor in the cafés she opens, ensuring each corner tells a story. Much like in the Philippines, diners at the Singapore outpost will also discover photographs and handwritten notes beneath the tables – a living décor that grows with every visit, where guests are invited to leave their own messages and become part of the café’s story. Every detail, from the mural to the tables, is thoughtfully considered and arranged to create a space that feels inviting and cosy.
“Bringing Café Mary Grace to Singapore is truly a dream for our family,” said Mary Grace Dimacali, Founder of Mary Grace. “Every pastry, every dish, every corner of the café carries the warmth and care we’ve shared with our guests in the Philippines for decades. We can’t wait to welcome a new community and share a little taste of home with them.”
