4 years since its debut at Turf City and subsequent relocation to Golden Mile Tower, popular seafood bucket brand Bucketta unveils its latest outlet at E!Hub Downtown East.
Helmed by Chef Wisit, formerly of one-MICHELIN starred restaurant Le Du in Thailand, Bucketta brings irresistably fresh seafood offerings and innovative pasta dishes to Singaporeans in the east. Since its opening in 2021, Bucketta has steadily gained a following of loyal patrons with its fresh seafood buckets prepared with a variety of delectable sauces and marinated fresh seafood plates. At this latest outlet, Chef Wisit introduces a curated lineup of savoury Italian pasta dishes that bring a distinct touch of Thai flavours.
Bucketta signatures not to be missed
To begin, look forward to moreish dishes that are bound to whet the appetite like the ever popular Baked Thai Reang Leaves (Pak Liang) with Mozerella Cheese ($10) that features Reang leaves native to southern Thailand oven baked with a generous serving of mozzarella cheese for that picturesque cheese pull. Not to be missed, another Thai favourite Kor Moo Yang ($14) showcases slices of pork neck meticulously grilled to deliver a tender and flavoursome bite.
For those seeking a taste of the ocean, look no further as Bucketta’s marinated seafood dishes serve up fresh cuts of seafood marinated in Bucketta’s signature blend. Enjoy the best of both worlds with Salmon & Prawn Marinate ($35) that brings thick and uncompromising cuts of fresh salmon and fresh tiger prawns complemented with chopped garlic, bird’s eye chilies, and Bucketta’s signature marinate. Served alongside a platter of dried seaweed sheets, fragrant rice, and two different Thai-style chili dipping sauces, each combination of fresh seafood and accompaniment bring a delicious punch of taste and texture.
Another crowd favourite, the Marinated Sashimi Crab Roe ($49) features a generous serving of raw crabs marinated in the same signature marinate and served with a bowl of rice, be sure to mix a combination of the two together for an explosive mouthful of umami goodness as the rice soaks up the creamy crab roe and flavourful marinate.
Fans of pasta will be delighted by Chef Wisit’s curated lineup of pasta dishes that bring together the traditional Italian dishes with bold Thai flavours. The Green Curry Penne with Thai Herb Chicken ($18) steals the show with penne pasta cooked al-dente incorporated with the bold flavours of Thai-style green curry before being topped with a generous cut of tender chicken prepared with Thai herbs and slices of seared eggplant.
A visit to Bucketta is not complete without digging into their signature Seafood Bucket where a range of ingredients are available to be cooked in one of Bucketta’s five signature sauces. Fill the bucket with a minimum of 5 ingredients such as mud crab, Alaskan crab legs, Boston lobster, crayfish, tiger prawn, scallops, black mussells, and fresh whole squid complemented by a range of palate cleansers such as german sausage, corn, potatoes, and broccoli. The bucket of seafood is then prepared with one of Bucketta’s five signature sauces, namely Thai Cajun, Thai Egg Curry, Garlic Butter, Thai Black Pepper, and Spicy Mala before being poured out at the table in a mountain of steaming decadence.
