Alice Boulangerie officially reopens today as a new go-to dining destination for all time of the day – breakfast, lunch, tea, and dinner! Celebrated for their handcrafted pastries that blend creativity with meticulous craftsmanship, Alice Boulangerie is now extending the same level of sophistication to their savoury offerings. Alongside their signature pastries, the revamped Alice Boulangerie will make a grand return with a newly curated dinner menu that blends Asian influences in traditional European dishes, complemented by exquisitely plated desserts designed to captivate both the eyes and the palate.
With a redesigned layout that expands seating capacity from 45 to 70 guests, step inside and get whisked away to a whimsical world inspired by squirrels’ habitats! The interior is a visual delight, adorned with warm wood accents that lend a cosy, inviting atmosphere. A wall feature inspired by tiled roofs (where squirrels run along!) adds a splash of colour and texture, injecting a playful touch that enhances the space’s enchanting theme. Diners will feel as though they’ve been transported to magical land, savouring a dining experience that tantalises their senses and sparks their imagination.
The new space also features a charming shop front where the bakery and coffee sections have been repositioned to create an eye-catching kiosk counter for easy takeaways.
With the reopening, patrons can anticipate a medley of new offerings where Asian-inspired flavours are masterfully infused into classic European dishes, starting with delicious appetisers like Seared Foie Gras Toast ($32). This dish features seared foie gras, elegantly perched atop homemade brioche, complemented by a fig and balsamic compote, and finished with green peppercorn jus, herb salad, pickled golden raisins, and pistachios. A truly decadent delight.
Another standout is the Otak Prawn Croquette ($19), a harmonious blend of halibut and tiger prawn mixed with Asian spices, enrobed in crisp Japanese breadcrumbs, and served with tangy kaffir lime mayonnaise, promising a delicious fusion of flavours and textures that elevate every bite.
For sharing, be sure to try out the various Sharing Platters designed for two. The Laksa Paella ($46) features traditional Spanish paella rice meticulously cooked in a rich, homemade laksa gravy with quail eggs, complemented by the smoky essence of Spanish grilled seafood (Spanish octopus, Spanish black mussels, tiger prawn). Finished with crispy beancurd puff, and aromatic laksa leaf, this dish delivers the comforting flavour of laksa in every bite.
The Pork Belly Claypot Rice ($42) is not to be missed. Dig into a hearty dish of Japanese rice cooked in a homemade mushroom kombu broth, and topped with salted fish, Chinese sausages, and preserved olive vegetables. Complemented by tenderly braised pork belly and grilled asparagus, this dish is best enjoyed with sambal Cincalok for a delightful culinary experience.
Also available is their famously charming dessert, Squirrel ($14), a moist chocolate flourless cake layered with chocolate biscuit, pecan brownie, and a luscious, salted caramel crémeux, coated with a dark chocolate crunch and topped with an adorable squirrel made from an orange milk chocolate crémeux and 64% Manjari Chocolate mousse.
“Capturing the curious and adventurous spirit of Alice’s Squirrel, we are transforming our establishment to elevate our customers’ dining experience with a refreshing, inviting space and a modern atmosphere.
