1-Alfaro is 1-Group’s latest rooftop lifestyle destination, brought to life by the acclaimed team behind MONTI. This spellbinding addition to Singapore’s dining scene is perched on the rooftop of Labrador Tower – a new premium office and retail landmark on the southern shore – and slated to open on 2 June 2025.
At 34 floors high, 1-Alfaro by MONTI offers unparalleled panoramic views of the harbour and city skyline. 1-Alfaro seduces diners and revellers with two synergistic concepts – the exuberant Italian restaurant La Torre and the vibrant rooftop bar La Luna. ‘Alfaro’ – widely known as ‘lighthouse’ in Italian – draws its name and inspiration from the lighthouses of Emilia-Romagna.
Emilia-Romagna is a picturesque region of Italy steeped in history, heritage, and hospitality. Located on the eastern part of Italy, its seaward edge is washed by the waters of the Adriatic and dotted with numerous lighthouses from a rich maritime trading past. This resonates with the restaurant’s location at Labrador Park, itself a vital hub for seaborne traders and travellers in Singapore’s past.
Just as lighthouses guide seafarers home, and ports are often the starting points of adventures and dreams, 1-Alfaro embodies its namesake with warmth, welcome and anticipation, heralding an experience steeped in the celebratory spirit of Emilia-Romagna.
The act of bonding over good food, drinks and company is the thread that weaves Italian life together; and Emilia-Romagna epitomises this edict. Within this region of Italy, family is sacrosanct, eating is a ritual, hospitality is sovereign, recreation is mandatory, and culture is celebrated all year round.
Often characterised as ‘Italy’s Food Valley’, Emilia-Romagna is linked from the coast to its inlands by the Via Emilia, an ancient Roman road along which provincial cities have sprouted and flourished. Many of these have become world-renowned centres of gastronomy, benefiting from crops and livestock of exceptional quality produced by the fertile terroir. As a result, Emilia-Romagna has the highest concentration of PDO (Protected Designation of Origin) and PGI (Protected Geographical Indication) products in Italy, including Parmigiano Reggiano from Reggio Emilia, Prosciutto di Parma from Parma, Aceto Balsamico from Modena, and Mortadella from Bologna.
These rich culinary traditions of the famed Emilia-Romagna region and the Italian way of life inspire 1-Alfaro in its soulful offerings and lively energy.

DUALITY IN THE ITALIAN WAY OF LIFE
1-Alfaro is an effervescent journey through Emilia-Romagna in casual dining and bar vibes. At 1-Alfaro, the rituals of daytime dining morph seamlessly into the less inhibited, more expressive activities of night as the hours progress. This mirrors a beautiful duality often discerned in the Italian way of life.
Day-diners at La Torre are treated to breathtaking views of the shimmering Singapore Straits and a soaring skyline as they savour breakfast and midday takeaways, or delight in lunches and brunches during ‘riposo’ or ‘day break’. As the light falls, the clink of pre-dinner aperitivo glasses and the munching of snacks mingle with the chatter.
When night arrives, friends and family sit down to enjoy each other’s company over shared feasts at the dinner table. As darkness deepens, the energy builds; and more laughter and conversation fill the air. The meal concludes; then head outdoors to La Luna to sip signature cocktails and dance to the live DJ until the witching hours. Natural light – waxing or waning – along with the metamorphic sky and sea, set rhythm and tone at 1-Alfaro. Through it, the Italian duality of experience manifests itself and speaks of choice and freedom.
At the restaurant La Torre, floor-to-ceiling windows offer stunning views and flood the main dining hall with sunlight, where a natural glow enhances the serene atmosphere. Curated by two exceptional talents: Chef Felix Chong, 1-Group’s Head Culinary Development – Italian & Mediterranean Cuisine, and Chef Alessandro Giustteti, Chef de Cuisine at MONTI, the menu at La Torre is rooted in soulful authenticity and features classic recipes from Emilia-Romagna with quality ingredients presented in a modern, accessible way.
The focus is on gathering, sharing, and indulging in extraordinary food. Guests enjoy a selection of small plates like Adriatic Red Prawn Tartare (2pc, $16++) and La Torre’s Fried Lasagna (5pcs, $16++), ideal for sharing and exploring wider flavours in a single sitting.
Handcrafted pasta with a twist includes regional specialities and reinventions of classics, available in half or full portions, such as the House-Made Tagliatelle ($14++ half, $28++ full), House-Made Pinwheel Pasta ($11++ half, $22++ full), and Cannelloni Della Nonna ($13++ half, $26++ full). To enhance the communal dining experience, large-format, fire-grilled meats such as the Australia Linz Ribeye on the bone ‘Costata’ (600g, $148++) and Iberico Tomahawk (350g, $78++), along with whole fish like the Queensland Baby Barramundi (300g to 500g, $78++), make perfect sharing plates for 2-3 persons.
As dusk falls, the beats take over and energy spikes within the main dining area, extending to the alfresco rooftop bar, La Luna. Here, the sensational views captivate as one watches the sun slip below the horizon, whilst enjoying tantalising drinks and bar bites. As a live DJ plays, the curated soundtrack takes revellers from laid-back sunset-watching to pulsating dance at this immersive nightspot.
A beverage programme blending tradition with innovation features old- and new-world wines (from $12++ per glass, from $60++ per bottle), as well as meticulously crafted signature cocktails, classic favourites, and inventive sharing jugs that invite social connection and communal enjoyment. Signature cocktails inspired by the Emilia-Romagna such as Enzo Robutti ($18++), an enticing combination of Scotch whiskey, amaretto, amarena cherry, and basil, and Antonio Canova ($18++), a delightful mix of amaro, peach, tonic, and thyme are unique concoctions, while classic cocktails like the Negroni ($16++) and Garibaldi ($16++) remain as timeless favourites. Sharing jugs like Qualcosa Di Rinfrescante ($40++), a vibrant mix of gin, elderflower, orange, prosecco, and mint, and Qualcosa Di Leggero ($40++), a refreshing blend of vodka, grapefruit, rosemary, peach, and soda, are perfect for groups of 2 to 3 persons.
