One of the two exciting concepts under one roof by new F&B group The Fillmore Collective, 808 Eating House is pleased to present a new and buzzing contemporary South-East Asian dining concept to the happening dining enclave of Joo Chiat.
Moving away from the traditional fine dining atmosphere, diners can look forward to a livelier and more local vibe, fuelled by inventive and satisfying dishes prepared with finesse, and thoughtfully-sourced local or regional quality ingredients.
Helming the kitchen is up and coming Singaporean Chef Eugene Chee, a CIA graduate who has honed his skills working at Michelin-starred Atelier Crenn in San Francisco, as well as local names the likes of Cloudstreet, Cheek by Jowl and most recently, at Magic Square.
Diners can look forward to a menu brimming with tasty, familiar, yet novel interpretations inspired by Southeast Asian cuisine and regional produce. Some dishes not to be missed include Buah Keluak Pork Belly, Barramundi featuring lightly-spiced garam masala pumpkin puree as well as Pickled Quail Eggs that will be making its comeback from the pop-up collaboration with Chooby Pizza earlier this year.
With eclectic music that includes both Teresa Teng and Nirvana on the same playlist, an extensively curated selection of craft beers and tasty wines, as well as innovative dishes inspired by the tradition, diversity and quality, 808 offers a casual, yet exuberant dining experience great for friends, family and dates.
