Hot pot lovers now have even more to look forward to with the arrival of the wildly popular Uncle Fong Hot Pot in Singapore. It first opened in Hong Kong to explosive reception, demanding queues among locals and celebrities alike around the block with its authentic Chongqing-style hot pot. Hong Kong celebrities such as Carina Lau, Cheung Chi Lam and Stanley Kwan have been spotted dining there. Opening soon at Great World City.
Like the original outposts scattered across Hong Kong and Mainland China, diners can expect authentic Chongqing hot pot offerings here in Singapore as well, with ingredients not commonly found at other hotpot restaurants. The signature soup base in particular, is brewed and simmered from premium imported spices and condiments – Chongqing Shizhuhong Chilli, Sichuan Hanyuan Pepper, Refined High Quality Beef Tallow, Sichuan Pixian Bean Paste and Yunnan Yellow Ginger, while the fresh ingredients that go into the pot are specially curated to complement the soups.
Aside from the freshest selection of meats, seafood, vegetables and produce, dip into the soups with novelty items like Beef Tripe, Tender Beef, Hand-Beaten Prawn Paste and Coral Mussels, which are the intestines of red sea cucumber. Adding more sweetness and flavour are exclusive in-house ingredients like Putien Soft Tofu, Dried Gong Choi and Wulong Sweet Potato Noodles.
