Slake kicks off a new chapter with its bold move from the sleepy Opera Estate neighbourhood to the city-centre at The Riverwalk.
Southeast Asian cuisine is known for its fiery spice, explosive tastes and vibrant flavours. Slake is a modern Southeast Asian restaurant that proves that the cuisine can also be contemporary and creative when it opened its doors in 2014 in the sleepy Opera Estate neighbourhood.
The brainchild of serial restauranteur and self-professed food enthusiast Jeremy Cheok, Slake’s culinary team uses modern techniques, quality ingredients and a healthy dose of creativity to reinterpret the favourite dishes Singaporeans have grown up eating.
Grounded by Cheok’s rich Peranakan heritage, Slake focuses on contemporary Southeast Asian cuisine for an extensive range of delicacies with creative, original, unique local twists. These original signature dishes include Pulut Hitam Risotto Stuffed Squid, Chye Poh Fries, Battered Pig Ears, Sticky Date Huat Kueh and the recent addition of Chilli Crabby Mary prepared with JUMBO Seafood’s Chilli Crab Sauce. These dishes are now favourites amongst its loyal patrons.
