As its name heralds, Sol & Luna is set to illuminate downtown dining when it opens as one of five concepts at 1-Arden, the latest and most ambitious hospitality venture from 1-Group.
Perched 100 metres up on Singapore’s latest 51-storey skyscraper CapitaSpring, the new high-rise icon of the financial district, Sol & Luna is a Latin-European bistro nestled in the building’s Green Oasis, a unique sanctuary- in-the-sky of lush greenery.
Sol & Luna shines the light on four classical cuisines. Like the synergy between the Sun and Moon, it brings together dishes from the Latin-European region – Italy, France, Portugal and Spain, in a seamless menu of timeless recipes, reinvented with a twist and finesse – from sunrise to sundown. Diners can fuel up with breakfast in the morning or indulge themselves at different times of the day with afternoon tea, tapas, sumptuous lunch and dinner, and drinks.
These can all be savoured in different settings – within the bistro; at the alfresco terrace; or at any of the work and social spaces within the nearly 24,000-sq-ft Green Oasis; where pockets of human activity surrounded by greenery give rise to a sense of belonging and connection, a centredness within the rhythm of life.
At Sol & Luna, new discoveries await like in the days when Sun, Moon and Stars showed seafarers the way forward. Except that now it is an epicurean adventure through four different Latin-European cuisines. The curated menu showcases the best of each cuisine such as a selection of fresh house-made and hand-crafted pastas; Truffle Risotto; and Grilled Radicchio with Taleggio, Balsamic & Pistachio from Italy.
French offerings include Afternoon High Tea of sweets and savouries; and Smoked Duck & Foie Gras Rillette. From the Portuguese come the Piri Piri Chicken Thigh and Portuguese Egg Tarts; as well as White Gazpacho and ‘Escalivada’ Ragout from Spain.
