A new bak chor mee supper spot at Orchard Plaza is drawing long queues—even at 4 AM. Located on the fourth floor, Orchard Bak Chor Mee has quickly gained a following for its signature dry minced meat mee sua. With only 12 counter seats, the small eatery fills up fast, especially in the wee hours, but the queue moves quickly thanks to efficient service. The space is reminiscent of a modern ramen shop, where diners eat shoulder to shoulder in a fast-paced, no-frills setting.
The stall is the brainchild of Ho, a seasoned F&B entrepreneur who also runs Kai Yakitori and Homura by Kai, both located in Orchard Plaza. Having observed a strong late-night crowd migrating from the now-gentrified Orchard Towers, he saw an opportunity for a supper joint. With rent in the mall still relatively affordable, he decided to convert an existing fourth-floor unit into an eatery, investing S$70,000 to bring the concept to life.
According to Ho, Orchard Plaza is a proven supper hotspot, with neighboring eateries like La Pona, Tha Siam Thai Kitchen, and nasi lemak stalls drawing full houses nightly. The shop’s prime location—just around the corner from Club Lunar—ensures a steady flow of night owls and clubgoers. With a growing reputation and an already loyal crowd, Orchard Bak Chor Mee is fast becoming a must-visit for late-night noodle lovers.
